GIRLS CELEB TEAM ANNOUNCED TO TAKE ON ARMY
A celeb ladies v Army ladies six-a-side football match will take part at Colchester United’s Weston Homes Community Stadium on Sunday November 2nd as part of the Game of History event at the stadium.
Before the main men’s eleven-a-side match the celeb ladies team will take on the Army ladies team and TV presenter and model Bianca Gascoigne, Hollyoaks and Eastenders star Gemma Bissix, Page 3 and Help for Heroes’ ambassador Peta Todd, BB star Aisleyne Horgan Wallace, High Street Honey Natalie Pike, former Liverpool Ladies player and model Jade Thomas and glamour model Cara Brett will all be in the squad with more names to be added soon.
The girls match is a warm up to the main event 11-a-side fixture where Danny Dyer, Simon Webbe, Lee Sharpe, Ralf Little, James Allan, Tamer Hassan, JK and Joel, Mickey Thomas, Neville Southall, Frank McAvennie, Andy Abraham and Big Brother stars Ziggy, Liam, Stuart and Dale, will lace up their boots and take on the Army to raise money and awareness for the Royal British Legion, the Army Benevolent Fund and Help for Heroes.
A Red Devils Show will take place before the men’s match and the match ball will be parachuted into the stadium!
Soccer Six founder Mark Abery says “Jade is Mickey’s daughter and a ladies pro player so she’s obviously talented and Bianca and Natalie aren’t bad either so we’ll certainly give them a game. The men’s event is harder to call. We’ve put a good team together and we’ve got a couple more players up our sleeve but it could all come down to fitness”
Colonel Tony Philips from Colchester Garrison says “This will be a competitive event in the best spirit of sportsmanship, not to be missed, and will directly benefit most deserving causes”
