After streaking ahead in the first half the Lilac Ladies who included; Michelle Heaton and Kelli Young from Liberty X, Meera Syal, Donatella from `Young, Posh and Loaded` and Tomb Raider model Lucy Clarkson, were soon caught up by the Moody Blues in the second half who managed to pull the scores level but a spectacular long range shot from Meera Syal in the last minute of the game to clinch the victory for the Lilac Ladies.

In the Junior Sevens for under 14 junior netball teams, it was Turnford who rounded off an impressive weekend in style, beating South Birmingham in the final, held in front of the packed Celebrity Netball Sevens crowd. However South Birmingham didn`t go away empted handed as their supporters were awarded the inaugural Superfans Trophy largely due to the homemade life-sized mascot called Bacardi they brought along! The Mini Sevens Final was one of the most exciting matches of the weekend and went right down to the wire, with Turnford just missing out on the double, as Trafford edged the victory.
